1 and 8. First Favre didn't solve the problem. Then Sanchez, who, let us not forget, got us into the playoffs twice. He was doomed from the start because they didn't design the offense around him. Then Tebow - glory hallelujah! Oh wait, that didn't work either. Now Michael Vick/Geno Smith. And Idzik. And Rex. Still Rex. Woody needs to back the money truck up to Bill Cowher's house and dump it. And dump Rex, or maybe move him back to D coach, where he did a good job.

All they need is a slightly above average QB who doesn't make big mistakes, an Alex Smith type. Then over time build around the run on offense. The defense isnt awful but could definitely do with secondary help. I think rex back at defensive coordinator would work with an offensive minded head coach.

My thought at this point is, let them lose. We going to need good draft picks to get a top-flite QB, corners, and a couple offensive linemen. Revis and Cromartie were huge losses.

The Jets?
I thank them. It's one of the few times a team hasn't destroyed the Bears.

You're welcome. And we can't even say "oh, it's a rebuilding year." It's not. It's a "here's what happens when you don't put rebar in the foundation" year.

I feel your pain. 1-8 is a bitch.
The Chicago Cubs are the originators of "rebuilding year". They've played that card for 100 years or so.
What's killing me with the Bears is how all the veteran players that were sent packing are doing better in new homes. How does that even happen?
